When is a dream only a dream? As a child, Cordelia Laurent dreamed of an enchanted land full of sweets and a handsome but mischievous prince. Now, six years have passed since her sugar-coated dream cast its spell upon her, and life has become bitter. But when Christmas Eve comes around, everything changes.
A mysterious man brings an oddly familiar nutcracker into her clock shop. When the clock strikes midnight, Cordelia is transported back to the Land of Sweets once more. Yet, the land isn’t as she remembered. The delicious candy forests have grown sour and are rife with danger. Her prince holds secrets close.
Is it worth Cordelia risking life and limb to find the Five Golden Rings and return Sweets to its original splendor? Can she rescue her beloved prince before the clock winds down? Or will she wake to find the Land of Sweets isn’t even real? Afterall, it is only a dream…
